!!!Volunteers Needed for 5th Sunday of the Month Hot Meal Service!!!

APRIL 29, 2018, SUNDAY

TASKS & DEADLINES TO BE FILLED:

1. Homemade Meatloaf Makers  – simple yet flavorful uniform recipe to be provided (either via e-mail or in-person) to 6-8 volunteer home cooks who will then deliver the fresh meatloaf to the Chapel of the Hills kitchen by 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Apr. 29, 2018 at the latest.

2. Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie Donors – volunteer home bakers must turn in donated cookie batches at SHPC Kitchen either before or after the Apr. 29, 2018, 10:00 a.m. Service, or at the Chapel of the Hills kitchen by 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Apr. 29. 2018 at the latest.

3. Kitchen Helpers at Chapel of the Hills to Heat Up Green Beans and Mashed PotatoesChapel of the Hills Kitchen by 3:00 p.m., Apr. 29, 2018 Sunday

4. Meal Set-Up Staff –  3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Hills Dining Room

5. Meal Servers for On-Site and To-Go Bag Service – 4:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Hills Kitchen and Dining Room

6. Post-Community Meal Clean-Up Crew – 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Hills Dining Room and Kitchen

STAMP OUT HUNGER FOOD DRIVE

2ND SATURDAY OF MAY

MAY 12, 2018

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:

1) Food Package Transporters between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Sat., May 12, 2018 – SHPC members/attenders/friends who have their own trucks/SUVs/similar large shipment-friendly vehicles are needed to transport the packages of non-perishable food items (collected by the mail carriers) from the Sunland Post Office to the Bailey Human Care Center of Tujunga United Methodist Church between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the Saturday of May 12, 2018.

2) Food Item Sorters between 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sat., May 12, 2018 – SHPC members/attenders/friends who can spare whatever time and labor they have within that 2nd Saturday of May afternoon are welcome to be at the Bailey Human Care Center of Tujunga United Methodist Church any time between 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Saturday of May 12, 2018.
